The Forestry Commission is considering the future use of the Management Training Centre (MTC), Prosper Lane, in Coleford following the vacation of the Learning and Development Team.

Subject to planning advice the Forestry Commission is seeking a new tenant to occupy the property, and have already received various expressions of interest. Suggestions to date include a nursery, an outdoor pursuit training facility and general office space. To help make a decision as to the most acceptable use for this building, the Forestry Commission would like to gauge the perception of the community.

Importantly, the Commission wishes to ensure that any use is sustainable, is in keeping with the forest environment and ensures the continued protection and maintenance of the building and where possible benefits the wider community.

The Forestry Commission is therefore hosting this online dialogue to allow suggestions, concerns and comments regarding the future of this building. Please select the 'Submit an idea' button in the right-hand column to make your suggestion.

If you would rather put pen to paper on this subject, answering the question above, please write to: Community Ranger, Forestry Commission, West England District, Bank House, Bank Street, Coleford GL16 8BA.

The online discussion is live from 15th July until the 5th August 2013. After this date the information will be collated and a simple report will be made available.
